Fighting a rare sarcoma: help Kato afford treatment in Kisumu
Kato is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Kato was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in May. The oncology team at Kisumu Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Kato is 57, worked as a farmer until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kisumu Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Household costs while unable to work: $390
• Scans and lab work: $250
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,400
