Gerald is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Gerald was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in April. The oncology team at Wollongong Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Gerald is 30, worked as a shop owner until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Wollongong Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $9,000 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,500
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,250
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,250
