Fernando needs clippers, chairs and mirrors to reopen a barbershop
Fernando has run a barbershop for three years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $3,050 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a barbershop in Bakersfield. In May, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,050 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $1,100
• Initial stock: supplies: $810
• Shop repairs and licensing: $420
• Working capital for the first month: $720
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you and your family, Fernando. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Thinking of you and your family, Fernando. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
Hope it all works out, Fernando. Small businesses are the heart of Bakersfield. Hope you're open again soon.
hang in there, Fernando. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 15 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
