Felipe earned a place in Grade 9 at Ribeirão Preto Technical College, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform. The family has few resources; the list costs $300, which is more than they have. Felipe loves design and technology and wants to become an engineer. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. He will take care of everything given and works very hard. I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything. Where the $300 goes: • Laptop: $200 • School uniform and shoes: $40 • Textbooks and workbooks: $35 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $25 Glad we found this place.

  • Best of luck, Ingrid. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care

    • Best of luck, Ingrid. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.

      • It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Bengaluru.

        • Hang in there, Ingrid. Your post was clear and honest.

          • Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
