Feed 96 families each week at Bread & Beans Kitchen in Swansea
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Swansea is running low just as demand rises; $2,850 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 96 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 55% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Swansea market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $990
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $930
• Baby formula and diapers: $580
• Refrigeration and electricity: $350
I hope life is good to you.
