The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Berlin is running low just as demand rises; $2,350 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 79 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 52% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Berlin market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,150
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $840
• Refrigeration and electricity: $360
Thanks for reading all this.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Ursula?
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 28 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
