Feed 70 families each week at Community Pantry in Albany
The Community Pantry pantry in Albany is running low just as demand rises; $2,300 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 70 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Albany market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $770
• Baby formula and diapers: $310
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,220
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
