Feed 399 families each week at the Second Helping in Córdoba
The the Second Helping pantry in Córdoba is running low just as demand rises; $2,050 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 399 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Córdoba market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $920
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $480
• Baby formula and diapers: $490
• Refrigeration and electricity: $160
