Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Sunday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 380 each week. Donations have dropped by about 35% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ho market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Baby formula and diapers: $95 • Refrigeration and electricity: $60 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $245 If you're reading this, thank you. - Adjoa

  2. Thank you all. We're at 36% now ($144). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.

  3. Update from Ho: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 9% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

It's all in the list in the story. baby formula and diapers is the big one at $95, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
