Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 365 each week. Donations have dropped by about 53% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Refrigeration and electricity: $55 • Baby formula and diapers: $60 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $285 Thank you so much. - Bhavna

  2. Update from Mumbai: I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. We're at 18% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  3. Quick update: $63 raised so far (16%). I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
