Feed 358 families each week at Bread & Beans Kitchen in Abuja
Help keep a free food pantry open for families facing hunger in Abuja.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 358 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Abuja market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $130
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $80
• Baby formula and diapers: $30
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
Thank you for reading my story.
