Feed 350 families each week at Community Pantry in Gold Coast
Howard runs a volunteer pantry feeding 350 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 350 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 32% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Gold Coast market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,700
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $510
• Baby formula and diapers: $640
• Refrigeration and electricity: $250
