Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 348 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kyiv market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $190
• Baby formula and diapers: $125
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Take care. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
Keep going, Inna. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
projects like this are what make a place worth living in. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
