Feed 345 families each week at Bread & Beans Kitchen in Jakarta Barat
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Jakarta Barat is running low just as demand rises; $500 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 345 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Barat market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
• Baby formula and diapers: $115
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
If you're reading this, thank you.
