Feed 334 families each week at Neighbors' Pantry in Paarl
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Paarl is running low just as demand rises; $800 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 334 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Paarl market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $800 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $480
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $110
• Baby formula and diapers: $140
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
