Feed 330 families each week at the Second Helping in Abuja
The the Second Helping pantry in Abuja is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 330 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Abuja market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $90
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $155
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
