Ginevra runs a volunteer pantry feeding 312 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 312 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Milan market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $920
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $830
• Baby formula and diapers: $350
Every share and every dollar helps.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ginevra.
Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is $920 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Ask me anything else.
