Musa runs a volunteer pantry feeding 283 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 283 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 38% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Wudil market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $200 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $105
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
Glad we found this place.
