Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Sukkur.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 254 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Sukkur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $210
• Baby formula and diapers: $80

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kausar
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. fresh vegetables and fruit comes first ($60) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
Wishing you peace, Kausar. Great idea, hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update.
