Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 252 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Epe market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $185
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $190
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
Thanks for reading all this.

Updates from Abosede
Wanted to say thank you properly. 15% funded and I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts.
Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($60). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($60 in total) I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Abosede
