Omondi runs a volunteer pantry feeding 237 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 237 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dar es Salaam market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $150
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

wishing you peace, Omondi. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes!
Thinking of you. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Lafayette.
Thanks for sharing this, Omondi. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Thủ Đức.
