Feed 221 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Cardiff
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Cardiff is running low just as demand rises; $2,200 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Wednesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 221 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 45% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Cardiff market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $560
• Baby formula and diapers: $330
• Refrigeration and electricity: $110
I hope life is good to you.

more neighborhoods should do this. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this, Grayson. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
So sorry you're going through this, Grayson. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Cardiff.
Stay strong, Grayson. Shared it with a few friends.
looking forward to the next update. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from San Diego.
