The the Second Helping pantry in Lucknow is running low just as demand rises; $450 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Saturday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 221 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 53% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Lucknow market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $145
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $245

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. baby formula and diapers comes first ($60) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
