Feed 216 families each week at Bread & Beans Kitchen in Reims
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Reims is running low just as demand rises; $3,150 will stock it for 11 weeks.
🇫🇷 Reims, Grand Est, France2,280 views
Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 216 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Reims market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,700
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $920
• Baby formula and diapers: $240
• Refrigeration and electricity: $290
I hope life is good to you.

Good luck. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page.
Rooting for you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Reims.
Stay strong, Louis. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best!
