Feed 181 families each week at the Thursday Table in San Diego
The the Thursday Table pantry in San Diego is running low just as demand rises; $2,900 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 181 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the San Diego market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $870
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,350
• Baby formula and diapers: $680
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
