Feed 167 families each week at the Thursday Table in St. Petersburg
Hazel runs a volunteer pantry feeding 167 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 167 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the St. Petersburg market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $220
• Baby formula and diapers: $630
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,800
Thanks for reading all this.

Thanks for sharing this, Hazel. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
Sending good thoughts, Hazel. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of St. Petersburg.
Hope things get better soon, Hazel. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't give up. Take care
