Feed 165 families each week at Bread & Beans Kitchen in Port Harcourt
Lanre runs a volunteer pantry feeding 165 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 165 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 32% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Port Harcourt market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200
• Baby formula and diapers: $65

Praying for you. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Denver.
you're not alone, Lanre. Hope you get there. All the best.
Take care. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
you're not alone, Lanre. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
Wishing you peace, Lanre. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
