Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Sunday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 147 each week. Donations have dropped by about 47% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Pasig market and keep every receipt. Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $500 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $175 • Baby formula and diapers: $85 • Refrigeration and electricity: $40 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Michelle

  • Praying for you, Michelle. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
