Feed 144 families each week at the Second Helping in Marseille
Manon runs a volunteer pantry feeding 144 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 144 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Marseille market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $170
• Baby formula and diapers: $470
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $910
