Feed 131 families each week at the Second Helping in Tiruchirappalli
Saanvi runs a volunteer pantry feeding 131 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Saturday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 131 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tiruchirappalli market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $300
• Baby formula and diapers: $100
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
Thanks for reading all this.
Updates from Saanvi

Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless
