Feed 115 families each week at Open Hands Pantry in Wrocław
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Wrocław is running low just as demand rises; $1,250 will stock it for 9 weeks.
🇵🇱 Lower Silesia, Poland1,032 views
Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 115 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Wrocław market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $900
• Baby formula and diapers: $220
• Refrigeration and electricity: $130
Thanks for being kind about this.

Thinking of you and your family. Great idea, hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Prayagraj so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Anaheim.
