Feed 105 families each week at Open Hands Pantry in Berlin
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Berlin is running low just as demand rises; $3,550 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 105 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Berlin market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,600
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,300
• Baby formula and diapers: $360
• Refrigeration and electricity: $290
