Feed 104 families each week at the Second Helping in Bristol
The the Second Helping pantry in Bristol is running low just as demand rises; $2,300 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 104 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bristol market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $115
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,900
• Baby formula and diapers: $285
