Ciudad de México
Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 101 each week. Donations have dropped by about 31% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ciudad de México market and keep every receipt. Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $700 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $210 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $270 • Baby formula and diapers: $150 • Refrigeration and electricity: $70 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Laura

Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Raleigh donated after I showed her your page. God bless
