Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 100 each week. Donations have dropped by about 44% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rotterdam market and keep every receipt. Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $2,650 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $680 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,100 • Baby formula and diapers: $580 • Refrigeration and electricity: $290 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Take care, Thijs. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
