Violet, my mother, passed away on 23 August after a sudden heart attack. She was 87 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,000 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 31 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Violet to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $2,000 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $500 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,200 • Memorial gathering for the family: $300 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
