Farewell fund for Svetlana: help Nadia's family in Kyiv
After the sudden passing of Svetlana, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.

Svetlana, my wife, passed away on 23 September after a short illness. She was 76 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Svetlana to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Funeral home services and casket: $470
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $370
• Transport of the deceased: $110
• Memorial gathering for the family: $100

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. funeral home services and casket comes first ($470) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
