Sinan, my brother, passed away on 23 September after complications from pneumonia. He was 63 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sinan to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $880
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $470
• Transport of the deceased: $55
• Memorial gathering for the family: $45

Sure. The biggest one is funeral home services and casket, $880. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
