Sérgio, my father, passed away on 6 March after a stroke. He was 32 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,550 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 13 March.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sérgio to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $420
• Memorial gathering for the family: $65
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,065
