Patrick, my brother, passed away on 20 September after a short illness. He was 56 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Patrick to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Leeds hospice.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $970
• Transport of the deceased: $470
