Jesse, my husband, passed away on 1 September after a sudden heart attack. He was 52 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 10 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Jesse to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,500
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $940
• Transport of the deceased: $440
• Memorial gathering for the family: $370

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sven.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. funeral home services and casket is the biggest at $1,500. Fair thing to want to know.
