Geetha, my mother, passed away on 27 October after a short illness. She was 91 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $750 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 November.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Geetha to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $750 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $440
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $220
• Transport of the deceased: $70
• Memorial gathering for the family: $20
