Faith, my grandmother, passed away on 25 May after complications from pneumonia. She was 82 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,000 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 8 June. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Faith to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $1,000 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $100 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $310 • Funeral home services and casket: $590 Thank you so much.
