Farewell fund for Anyango: help Atim's family in Nairobi
Atim lost her grandmother suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $1,050.

Anyango, my grandmother, passed away on 11 September after a sudden heart attack. She was 77 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 21 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Anyango to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $690
• Memorial gathering for the family: $45
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $315

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. funeral home services and casket comes first ($690) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
