Farewell fund for Aaliyah: help Eli's family in San Antonio
After the sudden passing of Aaliyah, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.

Aaliyah, my mother, passed away on 17 September after a stroke. She was 87 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Aaliyah to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Memorial gathering for the family: $175
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,985
