Family reunification petition: Wendy needs $3,650 before the deadline
Help Wendy cover the fees of a family reunification petition so She can stay with her family.

I'm facing a family reunification petition. My hearing is scheduled for June, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $3,650. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $2,500
• Filing and biometrics fees: $730
• Certified translations and document copies: $290
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $130
I hope life is good to you.

how is Wendy doing now?
Good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Toronto!
Sending strength, Wendy. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope June is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Toronto.
Hope things get better soon. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care
Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Coyoacán.
