Bergamo

Fabio is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Bergamo Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,150. The registrar has said Fabio can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Fabio has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Fabio would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Fabio isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $4,150 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,000 • Final term tuition: $1,900 • Exam and lab fees: $100 • Textbooks and materials: $150 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Camilla

Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,407 in total) I met with the university and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
