Evelyn was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in May. The surgeon at London Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $4,900 short.
my daughter has been in and out of London Community Hospital since May. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Evelyn struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Evelyn won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Evelyn!
Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $2,200. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
