Eva lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Sydney Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,500.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Eva could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $6,500 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $180
• Fitting and training sessions: $320
• prosthetic leg: $6,000
