Esther's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a hip fracture that never healed properly, Esther was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Esther was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in October. The surgeon at Lagos Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $670, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $500 short.
my mother has been in and out of Lagos Community Hospital since October. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $670 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Esther struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Esther won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $500 goes:
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $310
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $80
• Physiotherapy sessions: $110
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Jessore.
Sending love, Joy. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
